    Make an electronic fishing gear 2020-09-14

    1. First I want to talk about the working principle:
    The fishing device is made based on the principle that electric energy with a voltage higher than 100V and a power higher than 30W can kill fish in the waters with a diameter of 1 to 1.5 meters.
    As shown in the circuit diagram(in the attach file) of the fishing device, the circuit consists of three parts:
    (1) The first part is an inverter composed of a transistor and a ferrite transformer(If you're interested in them, see here.), which converts a 12V DC voltage into an alternating current of hundreds to several kilohertz, and its voltage amplitude is greater than 100V;

    (2)The second part is a full-wave voltage doubler rectifier, which doubles the output voltage and turns it into DC.

    (3)The third part is a relay, which controls the circuit to effectively release electrical energy in the water, and it can also avoid being inserted into the water. And cause high pressure drop. W1 can adjust the size of the input current, W2 can adjust the size of the output power.

    2. Component selection
    BG1 and BG2 are required to be symmetrical, and high-power tubes are used. Each tube must be equipped with a large enough heat sink. The transformer uses an E-20 ferrite transformer core and strives for good insulation during winding. The data of each winding is shown in the figure. C1 and C2 use oily paper dielectric capacitors. The relay uses a DC relay with a voltage of 12V and a pull-in current of less than 40mA. The power supply uses a small battery with a voltage of 12V and a capacity greater than 3A. BG1 and BG2 require β≥50, BVceo ≥30V, In addition, 3AD19, 3AD30, 3AD17, etc. can be substituted. D1 and D2 can be used with rectifiers with reverse voltage greater than 400V and current greater than 200mA. W1 power capacity is 2W, W2 power capacity is 1W. The switch K uses a touch switch, and the allowable current is greater than 5A.

    3. Adjustment and use
    After the circuit is installed, use a 40-60W, 220V bulb as a load, and connect it to the A and B ends. Press switch K, if the circuit does not vibrate, you can change the L1 or L2 thread ends appropriately. If the circuit vibrates, you can hear the sound of the transformer. Adjust W1 to make the battery input current 3.5 to 5A, and then adjust W2 to make the relay produce a continuous on-off "click" sound. At this time, the bulb flashes and the adjustment is over. When in use, load two multi-strand leather wires, one is connected to the fishing net circle made of metal wire, the other is connected to a metal plate, and the two wires are placed at both ends of the water with a width of 1 to 1.5 meters. The water bubbling, if there is a fish, it will be stunned to float on the water, and then the fish will be picked up with a fishing net.
